Warranty and Technical Assistance

The after-sales service offered by Vishco Metal Detectors is an indication of quality and efficiency, guaranteeing customer satisfaction and the functionality of the product purchased.

Product return –

  • Dead on Arrival (DOA). If the purchased product does not work or fails, within 3 days of arrival, it will be replaced without charge.
  • the cost of Repair to the product within the standard warranty period is covered by usTransport costs are shared between the parties; you will pay the shipping costs to the assistance center, and Vishco Metal Detectors will pay the return costs. If the defect is due to negligence in use, omitted cleaning, and the precautions indicated in the user manual, a fixed fee of  INR 1870 excluding GST will be charged, be paid when the product is returned.
  • All Expenses to Repair your product after the warranty period via our assistance center will have to be covered by the buyer.
  • Update services via our center (sending products for firmware upgrades, etc) have a cost that will be estimated by our technicians to cover the cost of the service offered.

Satisfaction Guarantee 7 Days

Vishco Metal Detectors products have a “7-day satisfaction guarantee“. If you are not completely satisfied with the purchased product, you can return it to us in its original packaging, not damaged and exactly as received, within 7 days of receipt and you will be 50 percent reimbursed for the purchase cost, except for transport costs. The return shipment to our center is charged to the customer.

How to return the Product to the Assistance Center

Before filling out the RMA form, make sure you are in possession of the model and serial number, which are both necessary to correctly return the product.

Warranty Policy

1. Vishco Metal Detectors warrants to the end-user customer that Vishco products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the periods–

2. Vishco Metal Detectors warranty periods are as follows:
a. Electronic system boxes, search coils, shafts, and handles are under warranty for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
b. All Vishco Metal Detectors branded lithium batteries and accessories not listed in paragraph ‘’2 a’’ are under warranty for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase.

3. Third-party accessories and AA/AAA batteries are not covered under this warranty.

4. Vishco Metal Detectors’ limited warranty covers only those defects that arise as a result of the normal use of the product in accordance with Vishco Metal Detectors’ printed instructions and does not cover any other problems, including those that arise as a result of:
a. accident, misuse, negligent act or improper maintenance,
b. software, media, parts, or supplies not provided or supported by Vishco Metal Detectors,
c. operation outside the product’s specifications, printed instructions and technical manual,
d. unauthorized modification, alteration, or service by the purchaser or a third party.

5. This warranty will be void if:
a. the serial number is removed or altered,
b. the device and/or its parts & accessories- unless specified as waterproof- are exposed to extreme hot, cold, or humid conditions or are soaked in water.

6. Neither Vishco Metal Detectors nor its third-party suppliers make any other warranty or condition of any kind, whether express or implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. In no event shall Vishco Metal Detectors be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, loss, or expenses including but not limited to damages, loss, or expenses as a result of a failure in the operation or performance of the equipment sold, repaired or serviced.

8. The customer must return any defective component to Vishco Metal Detectors Detectors or to one of its authorized dealers with freight prepaid.

9. If Vishco Metal Detectors receives, during the applicable warranty period, a notice of a defect in any product which is covered by Vishco Metal Detectors warranty, Vishco Metal Detectors shall either repair or replace the product, at its sole discretion.

Returning Vishco Metal Detectors Products

Before you can return any product to Vishco Metal Detectors you must obtain a return material authorization (RMA). This applies to all product returns, including warranty repair/replacements, and non-warranty repairs.

Customer Service will provide you with an RMA form that needs to be filled out completely. Upon evaluation of the issue and the problem, Customer Service will issue an RMA number and send the form back to you.

Once you have the RMA, repackage the product appropriately (see the section entitled “Packaging your shipment”). Include the RMA form in the package and write the RMA number on the outside of the package. You must also include the original Warranty Certificate dated and stamped by the distributor or the dealer inside the package.

We will not accept unauthorized returns or freight collection returns; we will return these to you at your expense.

The repair department will evaluate all equipment returned for repair to determine warranty coverage and will resolve any questions that may arise during evaluation to make a final determination.

Packaging your shipment

Protecting the value of returned products by packaging and shipping them correctly is your responsibility. We reserve the right to deny warranty coverage for any damage caused by failing to meet the following packaging requirements:
• All electronic components must be taped and/or contained in their original protective packaging or an equivalent substitute.
• All parts must be packed securely inside the external shipping carton to prevent mechanical damage.
• External packaging must be sufficient to protect the contents from the usual hazards of shipping.

Warranty repair/replacements

Subject to the terms of the limited warranty in effect at the time of purchase, Vishco Metal Detectors will repair or replace a product that fails to meet the terms provided, within the product’s warranty period excluding the shipping charges. For products purchased directly from Vishco Metal Detectors, the warranty period starts from the date of shipment from Vishco Metal Detectors’ facility. For products purchased from an authorized distributor or a dealer, the warranty period starts from the date of purchase. The Warranty Certificate must be dated and stamped by the distributor or the dealer at the time of purchase. For all non-warranty repairs, Vishco Metal Detectors will provide you with a repair estimate that includes charges for parts, labor, and all shipping.


White’s Electronics Inc. Warranty Policy

If within two years (24 months) from the original date of purchase, your White’s detector fails due to defects in either material or workmanship, White’s will repair or replace at its option, all necessary parts without charge for parts or labor. Simply return the complete detector to the Dealer where you purchased it, or to your nearest Authorized Service Center. The unit must be accompanied by a detailed explanation of the symptoms of the failure. You must provide proof of date of purchase before the unit is serviced.

This is a transferable manufacturer warranty, which covers the instrument two years from the original purchase date, regardless of the owner.

Items excluded from the warranty are batteries, accessories that are not standard equipment, shipping/handling costs outside the continental USA, Special Delivery costs (Air Freight, Next Day, 2nd Day, Packaging Services, etc.), and all shipping/handling costs inside the continental USA 90 days after purchase.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, alterations, modifications, unauthorized service, or prolonged exposure to corrosive compounds, including salt.

The duration of any implied warranty (e.g., merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) shall not be longer than the stated warranty. Neither the manufacturer nor the retailer shall be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Some states, however, do not allow the limitation on the length of implied warranties, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the above limitations may not apply to you.

In addition, the stated warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state. The foregoing is the only warranty provided by White’s as the manufacturer of your metal detector. Any “extended warranty” period beyond two years, which may be provided by a Dealer or other third party on your detector, may be without White’s authority, involvement, and consent, and might not be honored by White’s Electronics, Inc.
